COVID-19

We will regularly update this page according to the new guidelines issued by the Georgian government regarding COVID-19 and its impact on tourism.

UPDATE 01.10.2022

"Citizens of any foreign country, travelling to Georgia by any route (by ✈ air, 🚗 land and ⛵ sea) are no longer obliged to present either the Covid vaccination certificate or the report of negative PCR result from 15 June 2022."

“Entry rules for COVID-19 vaccinated visitors

 

Citizens of all countries, traveling by air from any country may enter Georgia if they present the document confirming the full course (two doses) of any COVID-19 vaccination at the border checkpoints of Georgia.

 

Entry rules for non-vaccinated visitors

 

Citizens and residence permit holders of the following states may enter Georgia by air under the conditions mentioned below:

  • European Union Member States

  • State of Israel

  • Republic of Turkey

  • Swiss Confederation

  • Kingdom of Norway

  • United States of America

  • United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

  • Russian Federation

  • Exhaustive list on the official government website

 

For entering Georgia, they must comply with the following conditions:

​

  • They must travel by air directly from the countries mentioned above, including transit travel through third countries; (Land and Sea borders remain closed);

  • At the border checkpoint of Georgia they must present PCR-examination certificate conducted during 72 hours prior to travel to Georgia;

  • On the 3rd day of their stay, they are obliged to undergo PCR-examination at their own expense;

  • All individuals who have travelled to the Republic of India within the last 14 days will be placed in mandatory quarantine for 14 days upon entry. In this case, PCR-examination on 3rd day of their stay will be waived.” 

 

UPDATE 01.02.2021

 

Starting from February 1. Citizens of all countries who are vaccinated will be able to enter Georgia with no test and quarantine period. 

 

Non-vaccinated foreign visitors, citizens and residents of the EU, Switzerland, USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, if they have tested negative for PCR within the last 72 hours, will also be admitted to the country provided that on the third day after their arrival in Georgia, they are required to perform another PCR test. Self-isolation will no longer be mandatory for them if they are still negative.

 

International flight will resume in Georgia starting February 1.
